Stations of the Cross Shrine
San Luis Shrine of the Stations of the Cross

Experience the beauty of the Rio Culebra landscape and the accomplished local skill that created this awe-inspiring devotional site. Overlooking San Luis is the shrine of "La Mesa de la Piedad y de la Misericordia" (Hill of Piety and Mercy). Constructed in 1986, two centerpieces celebrate Colorado's newest Catholic shrine, La Capilla de Todos Los Santos (the Chapel of All Saints) and bronze sculptures depicting the Stations of the Cross. As visitors climb the half-mile trail they can view fifteen bronze sculptures of Christ's passion and resurrection and experience the magnificent adobe Capilla at the top of the mesa.  – San Luis Valley Heritage website
Our Lady of Guadalupe
Taos Plaza & Our Lady of Guadelupe Church

Spanish settlers began their colonization of the Taos Valley in 1616, but the Plaza dates to the late 18th century when the Don Fernando de Taos Land Grant was ceded to the settlers from the Taos Pueblo in 1796 by Don Fernando de Chacon, Governor of New Mexico. Taos Plaza served for decades as the central meeting place in the valley and survived numerous fires that destroyed several older buildings. Nearby is the home of Charles Bent, who was appointed Governor of New Mexico when it became an American Territory during the Mexican-American War. He was killed by Indian rebels during the Taos Revolt. - Wikipedia  Learn more about Taos Mission Churches
El Santuario del Santo Nino de Chimayo

Nestled in the upper Rio Grande Valley between the Jemez and Sangre de Cristo mountain ranges is the ancient village of Chimayo, New Mexico, famous for its chile, wool-weaving, the generous warmth of its people and, most of all, the holy shrine of El Santuario del Santo Niño de Chimayo.  A National Historic Landmark, El Santuario is famous for the story of its founding and as a contemporary pilgrimage site. It receives almost 300,000 visitors per year and has been called "no doubt the most important Catholic pilgrimage center in the United States.  - www.leonasrestaurante.com

Santa Fe Plaza & Cathedral Basilica

Mirroring the traditional Spanish-American colonial cities, the Santa Fe Plaza is a National Historic Landmark in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Plaza consists of a central park lined with grass, trees, and benches, which add to the cultural scenery. Encompassed in the general Plaza area are historic monuments, restaurants, businesses and art galleries, including the Palace of the Governors (the oldest public building in the U.S.), the New Mexico Museum of Art, Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, and the Loretto Chapel. In true pueblo fashion, the Plaza architecture is traditional adobe. - Wikipedia
